What are the necessary conditions that my sponsor must fulfill if he/she is are resident alien?

The sponsor must have a close relationship with you (i.e. be your relative), and must be regarded as having had a stable life for a long time. His/her income, visa status, visa length, number of family members etc. will be taken into account when determining whether if is possible to support you.
