How can I cancel? Can I get a refund?

If you inform us your cancellation by telephone or email by 18pm on the previous day of the lesson when it’s a morning class, or by 3 hours before your lesson when it’s an afternoon class, it’s possible to transfer the tuition fee of the cancelled lessons to the next one. If the notice is later than the deadline above or you’re absent without notice, it’ll be charged.Please be reminded we accept your cancellation notice on weekdays only. If you have a class on Monday morning, please inform us by Friday of the previous week.
If you would like to leave school in the middle of your course, please refer to our “Refund Policy” page.

How can I pay the tuition fee?

Please pay the total tuition fee of the following month before your lesson starts and do it monthly in advance later on. We accept credit cards, too.

Can I change the teacher?

Is the teacher the same all the time?

Basically, one teacher gives the entire lessons. In case you take multiple lessons per week, it is likely that you have two teachers.

Is it possible to appoint a specific teacher?

Yes, it is. There are some people who appoint their previous teachers. In that case, we need to decide the lesson schedule with their availability.

Do the teachers speak and explain in English in class?

Basically, we teach with “direct method”, which is the method the teachers use only Japanese in class. That’s because we believe understanding and thinking in Japanese are more effective to learn Japanese language. However, as the hours of private lessons are limited, it’s possible to explain some points and things hard to understand in English.

How do you decide the educational material?

If you have some educational material you would like to use, please let us know. We can also recommend some textbooks.

Can I make a request about the content of the lessons?

Yes, you can. We’ll have a free counseling session before starting the lesson and design your lesson plan based on the result of it. If you aren’t sure how you would like to study, we’ll offer you a proposal based on the purpose of your study as well as your planned study time period, hours per day and frequency, etc.

How do you decide the dates and times of the lessons?

Is it possible to apply for a month first and extend it if I like it?

It’s possible if there’re vacancies. You may not be able to extend it because those who apply first are given priorities.

Can I cook in the room?

Do they require a deposit?

How early do they accept reservations?

Most start accepting a month before the occupancy date.

Are there guesthouses which you can walk to school from?

There are some, but the number is limited. You may not be able to make a reservation since this area is very popular. We recommend you to think about 2nd or 3rd choices.

Is it possible to stay at a guesthouse for one or three weeks?

Most of guesthouses require a minimum stay of one month or more. We recommend economy hotels or weekly apartments for those staying less than one month.
